Marquees
Outdoor marquees are the perfect way to let the sun shine on your event. Each marquee is custom made by the owner/operator Peter Doherty. Peter’s accommodating and professional reputation has helped to secure a large client base, who appreciate the trust they can place in an event that Peter is part of.
Marquees are a preferred option for a corporate event or function. There is a varied array of sizes starting at 3m x 3m to 30m x 15m. The number of guests attending and the amount of space available will determine the size needed. The option of silk lining is available, with an additional cost to the marquee price.
Peter is always available to visit your venue for an assessment if required. Flexibility
By choosing a marquee there are fewer restrictions, allowing a multitude of location and timing options with a marquee size to suit.
At Gold Coast and Tweed Party Hire we specialise in two types of marquee structures.
Rope and Pole Marquees
This traditional marquee has a timeless elegant shape. A romantic silk lining can be fitted inside for that extra special touch if desired. The benefit of the pole marquee is the extra width capacity, of up to ten metres.
Rope and Pole marquees are erected by first laying the roof on the ground, so it is important the site is unobstructed and level. The roof is supported by centre poles that are decorated to compliment the setting.
Frame Marquees
Ideal for small functions, frame marquees do not require centre poles and can be erected next to existing structures or buildings. Some ropes may be required to come out a short distance from the marquee. The maximum width of the frame marquee is six metres but there are no internal poles. The marquee can be lined to cover the metal frame and comes in a range of sizes. Our Price List will provide sizing options and prices to assist you.
